Team Recovery Foundation is advancing a bold, family-centered model of recovery; one that allows families to heal together. This is more than housing. It is a structured pathway to stability, dignity, and long-term recovery for families.
Why This Matters
Families need recovery programs designed to keep them together.
Northwest Ohio faces barriers with limited family-centered treatment options available locally. Research consistently shows that family-based recovery models increase treatment completion and improve long-term outcomes for both parents and children.
- 1 in 8 children in the U.S. lives with a parent who has a substance use disorder.
- Mothers with children are among the least likely to access treatment, primarily due to lack of childcare and family housing.
- Family separation is a leading predictor of treatment dropout.
- Over 50% of child welfare cases involve parental substance use.
The Vision
A safe, recovery-focused environment where families can pursue sobriety without being separated. This initiative will:
- Provide stable recovery housing
- Partner to support childcare needs during treatment
- Integrate services that remove barriers such as transportation, food access, and safety
- Deliver measurable outcomes to guide expansion across Toledo and Northwest Ohio
