An overdose can happen anywhere, including at work. When it does, employees need to know how to recognize the emergency, call for help, and take action.

Team Recovery Foundation is proud to collaborate with ProMedica on the Workplace Overdose Response Program, an initiative to help Northwest Ohio employers prepare for an overdose emergency. The program focuses on increasing access to naloxone and giving employees practical education and tools they can use when someone’s life is on the line.

ProMedica is leading the initiative with funding from the Ohio Attorney General’s Quick Response Team program. The work brings together healthcare, behavioral health, workplace safety, employers, and community partners to make overdose preparedness part of workplace safety.

As a subject matter expert and training partner, Team Recovery Foundation will help provide overdose response education, support the implementation of naloxone and NaloxBoxes, and develop resources employers can use to prepare their teams.

Knowing what to do can make a critical difference while emergency help is on the way. By helping workplaces build that knowledge and confidence, Team Recovery Foundation and ProMedica hope to strengthen overdose response across Northwest Ohio.

Prepared employees can take action. Prepared workplaces can save lives.
